Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

• Hostname of the accessing computer
• Time of server request
• IP address

A merging of this data with other data sources will not be carried out.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and the security of our website; for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

Contact form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your information from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. A simple informal notification by email to us is sufficient for this. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you entered in the contact form will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – especially retention periods – remain unaffected.

Damage report (form "Report glass damage")

When you report glass damage to us via the form, we process: type of damage, your description, up to six photos, postcode, licence plate, on request the vehicle identification number (VIN), information on comprehensive insurance and insurer, whether you need a replacement car, first and last name, e-mail address, telephone number and your preferred appointment.

Please make sure that no people and no third-party licence plates are visible in the photos. We use your photos only to assess the damage and to process the order, not for advertising.

The purpose is to assess the damage, schedule the appointment, order the right glass and carry out the order. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract or pre-contractual measures at your request).

Billing with your insurer: If we bill your insurer directly, we transmit the necessary data – name, licence plate, insurer and policy details, type of damage, photos and invoice – electronically to your insurer or to the service provider it has commissioned to handle glass claims. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR; billing is based on the assignment declaration you signed.

Messages to you: We send a confirmation of receipt and an appointment reminder to your e-mail address (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). You will only receive a one-time invitation to review us if you consented to this in the form (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). If you consented to being contacted by e-mail or WhatsApp, we also use your telephone number for questions via WhatsApp; WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta) processes your messages and connection data under its own terms. You can withdraw both consents at any time by informal e-mail.

Retention period: If no order is placed, we automatically delete your data and photos six months after your request was last processed. If an order is placed, we keep the documents for as long as commercial and tax retention obligations require (up to ten years, Section 147 AO, Section 257 HGB).

Hosting and delivery of the website

This website is operated on Laravel Cloud, a service of Laravel Holdings Inc., USA. Servers, database and file storage are located in the EU Central region (Frankfurt am Main); files you send us via a form, such as photos of the damage, are also stored there. The pages are delivered via the network of Cloudflare, Inc., USA, which Laravel Cloud uses as a sub-processor to protect the website against overload and attacks. In doing so, your IP address and the data listed under server log files are processed.

For this purpose, Cloudflare sets technically necessary cookies (__cf_bm, cf_clearance) that distinguish automated access from human visitors. They contain no information that would allow us to identify you and are deleted after a short time.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure, fast and reliable operation of the website. The cookies are strictly necessary within the meaning of Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Laravel. Transfers to the USA are covered by the safeguards agreed therein (EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, insofar as the respective provider is certified under it).

Sending e-mails

E-mails from this website – confirmations of receipt, reminders and replies – are sent via the servers of STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, where our mailboxes are also hosted. STRATO processes the data in Germany as a processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

Referral Program (Commission for Referrals)

If you give us a tip via the referral form (/empfehlung) or share a personal referral link with a code, we process the following personal data:

• Advertiser data: First and last name, phone number, email address, language setting, IP address upon submission.
• Optional Advertised: Name and phone number of the person you are recommending to us – only if you provide this.
• IBAN and account holder: will only be collected once the commission has been earned by you (data minimization according to Art. 5 para. 1 lit. c GDPR). The input is made via a personal, cryptographically signed link from our confirmation email.
• Advertiser code: An automatically generated short code (e.g. MAX-K7P3) that identifies you in the referral process. When you share your referrer link with URL parameter ?ref=CODE, we set a technically necessary cookie (Name: ref) on the invited person's device with a duration of 30 days to associate the referral with your account.

Legal basis: The processing of your advertising data is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) and for the initiation or fulfillment of the commission contract (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). If you enter data of the advertised person, we assume that you have obtained their consent. We use the data exclusively to make contact, assign the glass replacement order, and pay out the commission.

Self-Referral Protection: If the phone number or email address of the advertiser matches that of the advertised, we will automatically mark the process for internal review. An automatic rejection will not occur – an employee will decide on a case-by-case basis.

Storage: We will delete your advertiser data as soon as the recommendation is completed and the legal retention periods have expired. Booking-relevant data (payout date, amount, masked IBAN) will be retained in accordance with § 147 AO and § 257 HGB for up to 10 years. You can trigger an early deletion of your personal advertiser data at any time via the GDPR deletion button in your personal advertiser dashboard; the booking data will then remain pseudonymized.

Transfer: Your data will not be transmitted to third parties, except for our house bank in the context of the SEPA transfer of the commission.

4. Consent Management

Consent management

Your consent to non-essential cookies and third-party services is managed by our own solution, which is part of this website. No further provider is involved.

Storage: your decision is kept locally in your browser only and is not transmitted to us or to third parties. If you clear your browser data, you will be asked again.

Stored details: the categories you chose, the time of your decision and the version of the consent. No personal data is involved.

Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR (legal obligation to obtain consent) in conjunction with § 25 TDDDG.

Retention: 12 months from your decision, after which we ask again. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Privacy settings” in the footer of every page.

5. Reach measurement

Our own statistics

We count which pages of our website are opened. The counting runs solely on our own server; no third-party service is involved and no data is passed on to other companies.

Stored are: the page path opened, the language version, the name of the website you came from (not the full address and not your search term), and the type of device (phone, tablet or computer).

We also count clicks on the phone number and WhatsApp buttons and, in the cost check (“What will the glass damage cost me?”), how often it is started, which result is shown and whether WhatsApp or the damage form is clicked afterwards — in each case only with the page path, the position on the page and the device type. If a damage report comes from the cost check, we note this on the report. We also note how you reached us if the link you opened carries a marker for it (for example from our Google Business Profile or an ad). We keep this marker only for the duration of your visit in the session that is needed anyway — we do not set an additional cookie for it.

Not stored are: your IP address, cookies, identifiers or any other feature that would allow several visits to be attributed to the same person. We count page views, not visitors.

As no access to your device takes place and no personal data arises, no consent is required for this. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in designing our website to meet demand (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention period: 24 months. After that the entries are deleted automatically.

6. Plugins and Tools

OpenStreetMap

We use the OpenStreetMap map service for the directions map. The provider is the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom.

The map loads only once you explicitly allow it. Your IP address is then transmitted to the OpenStreetMap Foundation — without it the map could not be delivered. It is not evaluated for advertising purposes.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). Without your consent you see only a placeholder here and no data is transmitted.

Auf der Seite „Referenzen“ zeigen wir Bewertungen, die Kundinnen und Kunden in unserem Google-Unternehmensprofil geschrieben haben.

Diese Bewertungen ruft unser Server in festen Abständen über die Google Places API ab und speichert sie für die Anzeige zwischen. Ihr Browser baut dabei keine Verbindung zu Google auf: Beim Aufruf der Seite werden weder Ihre IP-Adresse noch andere Daten von Ihnen an Google übermittelt.

Die Profilbilder der Bewertenden binden wir bewusst nicht ein, weil Ihr Browser diese sonst direkt bei Google laden müsste. Stattdessen zeigen wir die Initialen.
